Navigation
The site is navigable via the menu on the left-hand side of each
page. All the headings on the menu are hyperlinked, except for the section
of the site which you are currently visiting. For example, on this page,
the section entitled Site
Help is not hyperlinked because that is the page you are currently
visiting.
Links are emboldened and underlined and they all appear in black. For example, clicking this text will return you to the site homepage.
Database
Help with the database will be available as soon as it is mounted online
Index All the biographies are accessible from the biography index page. At the top of this page you will see an image with the letters A-Z. Clicking a letter will take you to all the star entries whose surname begins with that letter. For example, clicking M will take you to a list of stars whose surname or stage name begins with the letter M, like Jeanne Moreau, or Miou-Miou. If you do not see the name of the actor you are looking for on the list, then they do not currently have an entry in the filmography pages although they will probably be listed on the database. Click here to find out how you can submit a biography for inclusion in the site.
Stars'
biography pages
The
stars biography pages give you information about the star, including their
dates of birth and (if applicable) death. Where a photograph is available,
this too will be posted. If there is a filmography page for that star,
you will find a link to it at the foot of their biography. There is always
a link back to the biography index page at the end of the biography and
you can also return there by clicking the link on the main menu on the
left of the page.

All the
filmographies are accessible from the filmography index page. At the top

Stars' filmography
pages
The
stars filmography pages give a list of the films made by that particular
star, with a link to further information (outside this site) where available.
Remember that you may find more information about individual films by
visiting some of the sites suggested on our 'Useful
Links' page. Where a photograph is available, this too will be
posted. If there is a biography page for that star, you will find a link
to it at the foot of their filmography. There is always a link back to
the filmography index page at the end of each filmography and you can
also return there by clicking the link on the main menu on the left of
the page.
Press
Profiles
The press
profiles give you information about publications which are included on
the database (though not all). Where available, you will find links to
the useful links page where we have included a link to the relevant website.
Some of these magazines and newspapers are no longer in existence, so
we provide some information about when they were published and at whom
they were aimed. If you would like to submit a press profile, or provide
us with an image of a publication which is not illustrated on the page,
click here.

page makes some suggestions for sites which may help you with further
research into stars and their films. Please note: These are external
